Garden Season

Oh how I love garden time!  It does take a lot of time and effort, but I know it will be worth it in the end!

We took the boys to the nursery where the little played in the dirt.  Everyone had a good time!

Hyrum had to have his own picture, of course.  :)

The potatoes are growing strong!

So many tomatoes!  They are hard to see, but there are over 150 tomato plants!
We had a pest problem, so we invested in this little gadget that barks and howls and who knows what else when it senses motion.  Lets just say that I love it and love that my plants aren't being eaten anymore.  I am pretty sure it is more effective than any fence ever was.  WINNER!

They are hard to see but our fruit trees are growing so well.  We are very excited to get fruit this year!

We are upping our gardening game this year with row covers.  I am looking forward avoiding the cabbage worms of the past.  Fingers crossed!  I also used them to cover the other vegetables because we have had abnormally cool weather.  They are all safe and warm.  Yay!

And no update would be complete without the piggy pigs!  They love to come out and see us when we stop by.  They are such social creatures!  I love just watching them!
And on an unrelated note, the boys are taking some soccer lessons, so we had a fun day at the ball field playing together.  Hyrum and I played together while they did real practice work.

Go Jacob!

Michael was in prime form.

So, life is good, the garden is good and soccer is always good.  :)
